Towing 7000 LB trailer?

Just watched the video. I have been towing my current over 40k miles with no problems 75 mph winds etc. Just great After watching I am scared now. Mite need safer hobby

don't guess. take the truck to a cat scale, weigh it, then reweigh with the loaded trailer attached. the added weight to the rear axle is your tongue weight

They would not be so funny if I would not see similar in real life.
Notice that almost none of the drivers applied brakes in the situation.
I bet they don't wear masks in pandemic neither.

With the truck weight at 12300 28" ext. I would only run about 400 lbs. on the hitch. New camper truck will be over 13,500. I would think I can run 400-500 lbs. on the hitch w/o WD Even though trailer weights 7500LBS ??????????

Per my experience the poor towing is mostly due to trailer configuration, not the hitch.
I did tow my patio boat with 48" stinger just fine, even we had strong winds coming back. But my boat was about 3000 lb and boats are good for towing without WD.
Than in the past I had 18,000 lb equipment hauler trailer who never needed WD.
I thing it was tracking without fishtailing mostly due 3 axles, but there is more to it.

Super truss at 42" without a WD hitch can only handle 600 pounds of tongue weight and 6000 pounds of pull. with a WD hitch it can handle 1200 TW and 12000 pull

I pull a 7000 pound horse trailer with a 48" extension and a WD hitch all over the country with no complaints. In the last 12 months I did round trips from San Francisco to Lexington Ky and From SF to Chicago round trip in rain wind snow and heat. (KY in Nov, Chicago in July).
