Biggest problem I have if you want to call it that is my wife giving a loud "honey!!! do you know how close you are to (fill in the blank !!!. Mostly when lanes goes from large 10 or 12 foot to 8 or 9 in construction zone. Of course she is looking in her mirror and has no idea that I'm also close on my side. No big deal except when she goes nuts I think she saw something I didn't see and it surprises me.
Are you sure your not talking about a 8 1/2 trailer versus a 8 ft?
Overall I can't tell difference other than I'm going to extend my wheel well mud flaps, rain spray and stones makes bit more of a mess on wide body's.
First couple times you park and find the curb sooner than your used to, after couple times no big deal. After 200 miles, no big deal.
