Towing a Honda fit

What are the laws towing a vehicle behind a truck camper? I've explored mounting brackets, and toolbars, magnetic lights. However I have read each state has different requirements as to brakes on the tow vehicle? Any answers and suggestions would be greatly appreciated! What are your setups?From Honda's webpage they say the weight of the car is as follows: 2432 lbs

    The trick is that toad is not a trailer, so with low number of them on streets, the law forgot about them.
    You will get thousands of conflicting answers, but regardless if law require brakes, or not, I would spend the money for brake system.
    Than I have to ask why?
    The whole purpose of TC is that you can drop it at destination and use truck for sightseeing.

    towing laws can vary from state to state. your state may not require brakes on the toad but I think one is foolish to not have brakes and a breakaway system . does the owner's manual give instructions for towing one?
