Well we are a family of 4 (2 adults and one small child and a 10 lb dog) but 1000 lbs seems like a lot of cargo for us on a 4 dayer. Wife packs necessities only, she is good like that, no generator or anything. 1000 lb of food and clothes? Maybe two bikes? I will weigh and tow by the end of the week and come back.
