For the record, the Expedition actually tows quite well, even with TTs in the 6500-7000# loaded range, but at those weight the result will be higher weights than the truck's ratings. This is especially true for the OP, since he has a good engine, and the 6-speed tranny, but low ratings - especially the RAGW. Find a lighter TT (not necessarily smaller), and the Expy is a very capable, 8-pax carrying truck.
