Wow what a mess this thread has turned into.
Dry weight of trailer is 7030.
GVW of truck is 7900 UVW truck is 6262 leaving 1638 for payload. Hopefully the source of the figures is the door sticker vs. figures from a brochure
Allowing 1000# for cargo loaded trailer=7030+1000=8030
8030x12%=963 tongue weight. Which may exceed the 950 hitch rating?
1638-963=675 for passengers and gear.
Note there was no allowance for weight of WD hitch in these calculations.
While I typically carry way more, I thought 1000# was the average weight for cargo in a trailer?
