This is what I also think. But let me honest, this is the first time ever I see a compact SUV with 3500 pounds towing capacity, which is 2x+ higher than any other competitors such as CRV, Tucson or any other compacts SUV. And yes, I do my homework and apparently everything is having to do with extra cooling! I am the first to be totally confused when I see this "trail" package. I would NEVER tow anything near of 2000-2500 pounds with a RAV4... but when I consider my 1400 pounds popup I see a few options... I think.
