If you have the 10" AlKo brakes, they may look like mine in a short period of time. Junk! I replaced everything with Dexter in about 7000 miles. The magnets are different and I hope will perform better.

Brakes now use adhesion technology rather than just friction between the lining and the cast iron drums. This results in a buildup on the drum and the need for increased pressure. The magnets then chew up the armature.
Anyone that thinks there things can be counted on are in a dream world.
Is there something wrong in the pic? Everything looks fine to me! All magnets/drum surface for the magnet look like that!
