As an old trucker you should know the hazards that appear in a blink of an eye and a higher rate of speed intensifies the effects it has on a towing vehicle with a tractor trailer being more stable than a travel trailer pulled by a pickup.
The trucking industry knows that and proposals are on the board for governors to be installed on all trucks limiting Max speeds.The DOT has not commented on the speed to which the heavy trucks would be limited, but previous proposals had included a limit of 68 mph.
