Anyone remember the high profile QE2 Secret Service wreck where the wrong people got the blame for several deaths? A long time went by before they found out what "really" happened.
This is very true. I was driving home from a job in Ohio late one night. A man in a ranger ran a stop sign and tboned the semi right in front of me. We tried to save the guy through cpr before the emergency crew got there but it was too late. I was there for several hours while they investigated. I can tell you by the time we left they had a very good idea "what" happened but could not conclude "why" it happened. It was later determined he most likely had a heart attack. So the initial careless or inattentive driving hypothesis was incorrect.
