What was the OP's question again? Must be in here somewhere. Oh wait, here it is: "
Can trailers be safely towed in the 70 mph range. Thanks". It's actually a very good question. Now at 32 pages (and counting) and clearly the answer to the question as posed is very unclear.
A few posts after the OP's initial post, someone stated "
I think the semi trailers like to pass close, then cut you off." This thread has ended up being a heated debate over just that - semi driver versus RV-er, who's fault was it? No one even paused to say that words of sympathy should go out to the friends, relatives and surviving family members over such a tragic accident involving 2 deaths.
I would have hoped the discussion would have been centered around things like driver education, having the right TV, having the right equipment and having the equipment in good operating order and set up correctly.
Entertaining thread to say the least...
