These are not my stats or proposal. The question is do you need big brother in your vehicle to save yourself because you are incompetent? Or is setting a speed limit adequate?

I agree that I don't want more rules and regulations. I would be willing to bet that one day we won't have any control over it though. Personal freedom is slowly eroding and to the young people it will be the norm.

I'd been hoping the Mod would give us all a break, but so far, no luck. Even tire threads don't usually run on this long. Mod....HELP!

Exactly....skill, conditions, and equipment determine the appropriate speed. Some will misjudge and cause accidents....and some of those who misjudge will be driving subcompacts not towing anything. You can't legislate good judgement any more than you can legislate morality....

You can't label somebody "reckless" solely based on the speed they are driving, and why different roads have different speed limits.

Speed doesn't kill people, but incompetent drivers do. Everything from skate boards to airplanes are operated by nin-com-poops. Take a number, they are bound to get you sooner or later.

16 pages... and we are talking about the difference between towing at 62 mph and 70 mph. The 8 mph difference is hardly drastic. This is absurd.

Most traffic collisions are not the result of simply excessive speed, but a combination of factors.

You might be safe to drive at 65... but driving at 65 while texting is a much deadlier combination.

Then again, there are some people that can't even drive safely at 55 mph.

I used to hire and fire truck drivers so i dont go along with this experiance of thiers.
