You are good on weights. The problem is that you have a long trailer and a short wheelbase tow vehicle. You definitely need very good sway control with your hitch properly set up.In your shoes I would give it a try on secondary roads without a lot of grade, in good weather, and see how it does. Keeping your speed down will be a big help. Biggest issue will not be pulling it, but stopping it. Make sure your trailer brakes are working correctly and your controller is dialed in.Crosswinds could be a problem, too.

We also tow with a Chevy Tahoe. In my opinion that's way too much trailer for your vehicle. Our trailer is 27 ft , and 4800 lbs dry weight and I wouldn't want to tow anything much larger that that.

"NO", not safely.First of all there is little chance you can actually tow something even approaching 8,600#. Towing capacity is as useless a statistic as "dry weights" and both can get you into a world of trouble. First check your Tahoe's payload. From that subtract 1,040# {your actual tongue weight computed at 13 per cent of the loaded weight of your trailer and everything in it}, assuming you, like most folks will load at least 1,000# + another 100# for the weight of your WD hitch. Also check your rear axle load limit as you may already be over but certainly will be very close to its max.If you have much if any payload remaining {and I sincerely doubt it}, it will quickly disappear as soon as you load the Tahoe.Now consider your Tahoe, {the dog... no pun intended}, attached to the 35' tail. I think you can see where I am going with this analogy. Yep, on anything but a straight relatively level road with little or no wind the tail will be wagging the dog.... big time.I'd recommend more truck or less trailer.As always.... Opinions and YMMV.:C
