If a highwall is anything like a tent trailer I personally wouldn't go that route. We had a nice tent trailer for about 4 years and every time we had to set that up in the rain (or high wind) I swore it was going. We enjoyed the ease of towing it for sure, but it was not without it's draw backs. We went to a TT back in the mid-80's and have stayed with that type of unit ever since.
I recently wanted to go with a 5th wheel, but my hub is right. With alllllllllll the *stuff* we take with us (sans the Dung Beetle nickname) a bumper pull allows us to fill the truck canopy up with necessary items. Generators, wheelchair... dog pens... bbq.. etc. We have not mastered the art of traveling light... LOL
Sorry about your fire. That had to be a huge event. Having lost our home to a fire in 2003 I feel your pain.

Good luck, also for security reasons we like something that locks up tight. It's a crazy world out there...
