Ok than that's final I'm just going to leave it alone( if it isn't broke don't fix it is what my dad said haha) I'm going to need to replace my tires towards the end of summer so ill just stay with the factory tire size 265/75/16 I was thinking of going with a Michelin LTX's should I go with harder ply tire or just stick with a LT tire? I towed this camper last summer 8 times plus I tow a small long travel dune buggy on a open aluminum trailer about 5 times a summer.
I would go with a load range e. This will make the truck ride rougher when not loaded but will give you a lot more stability when towing. If you go with to light of tire it will feel like you are driving on Jello. I think the Michelin's are good tires but overpriced. Lots of good brands to choose from.
It sounds like your current gearing will put you at around 2800 rpm at 65, should be optimum for towing.
