During the winter we often visit areas that have roads that have been treated and Fluid Film works great for this. You roll or spray it on the underside of the trailer and it protects the metal. It gets down into the pores of the metal and stays where you put it. It doesn't wash off very easily. For us it normally lasts a year. We coat everything that might be affected by the salt. It takes about 3 cans to do my trailer.
