Tow rating was in the 3000-7500 pounds range. Does it have the 5.7L? Do you know the axle ratio? I think best case with a well maintained unmodified fuel injected 5.7L , 4-spd trans, 3.73 or 4.10 axle and trans cooler you'll want to be close to 5000 pounds dry. If it isn't the 5.7L, or 3.42 or lower, or it isn't in showroom condition, stick to popups. It's a 25 year old truck. How well it will tow at/near its ratings depends primarily on how well it was maintained or upgraded over that time.
