Towing Mirrors

Another user of the Cipa slide-ons-for my GMC. I thought that the single, small piece of cushioning tape they include might not be enough. (Clear instructions said where this small piece goes) I thought I could add moleskin if something more was needed but have not had the need. Mirrors are solid, easy to install and have not damaged the OEM mirror as was my concern.

i was looking for the CIPA slip on mirrors, but they don't make them for my vehicle. I use the Grand Aero, in the same link as the Aero2 above.

X2 on that, I have had a set, the same set, since 2011 on my 2008 Silverado 2500 with no problems. My TT is 8' and I am able to see everything I need to. They come off in the winter and go back on in April.

I bought a set of universal clamp-ons. Don't remember who makes them, not CIPA I know that. It was time to tow my new camper home and that was all the dealer had. I will probably get the CIPA slip on mirrors later.

I am using clamp-on mirrors by "Longview" LVT-3100C. Got them from eTrailer. They seem to be working fine. Rear view is good, no vibration at 60-65 MPH as our normal towing speed. Stayed on tight too.

I adjust my truck mirrors for a good view and the tow mirrors to pick up any thing while turning.

I also have the CIPA mirrors on my 2003 Suburban since 2012.
They don't vibrate and don't interfere with the folding function of the OEM mirrors. I've never taken them off since 2012. I would buy them again.

These are what I have on my '08 Sierra. Had a set for my old Suburban as well. Cheap and reliable.
