It was touted as getting great gas mileage while being able to pull more than most all V8's. I spent crazy money (IMO) to get a new truck under warranty instead of driving a 10 year old truck. It's a trade off either way you look at it. I get 15-16 because my 9 mile drive is almost all stop and go with about 2 miles on a highway.
There are quite a few hills every way I go out of the Raleigh area except when headed to the coast. I'll try slowing to 60-62, kind of wondering if using the cruise made it worse as I'm usually better at tickling the throttle getting up hills. I wasnt' sure what speeds people tow at to be honest. I'm always slower than the reqular traffic, that's for sure. I have seen 19-20 on highway drives at 70mph with no load other than us. I also can't leave out the fun factor it offers because of the turbos.
