Towing speed?

I have a 2013 Puma that is 33' long and tow it with a Chevy 2500 6.0 gasser I have found for my travels up and down I75 here in Michigan my sweet spot is 69-71. What I found amazing is all summer long running my 69-71 I get passed quite a bit by other RV'ers and rarely do I pass other Rv'ers. I do wonder about the guy that passes me like I am standing still with his 40' 5er and diesel truck billowing black smoke...... where the heck you going in such a hurry

Welcome to the forum.

My mileage goes in the toilet if I go over 70 so the speed stays below that.

60-65mph. Let's almost everyone else pass and we're not having to pass others.

55-60mph. I'm kind of surprised at the speeds - I'd guess the average here is 65mph. Thats a lot of fuel being used to push the air.

Between 60 and 65 depending on conditions.

65mph-72mph

My target is 62. My tires are rated for much higher than that, but at that speed I find it much easier to react to traffic, trailer movements, road conditions, it's easier on the MPG, and a lot more relaxing. We don't really find that you gain much time by driving faster except for long hauls. But even with our cross country trips it only ends up being a few extra hours. Putting more hours behind the wheel gets us there faster than speed.

55-75 mph or whatever the max speed is and if I have a need or feel like traveling at those speeds.
I see rv transport rigs on I-44 daily near me doing 75-78 mph with someones new RV trailer.

We just got back off a 2700 mile trip out west in september. Coming towards home on I-80 in WY and I-70 in CO/KS...... had lots of trucks pulling rv trailers doing the max speed limit +.

Some folks and certain rigs shouldn't pull that fast.
