- usmc616ExplorerIf you are looking to move a TT in NY I may be able to help. If you are looking to rent a TV and do some traveling I do not know of a company that rents TV's.

I have a 32' sunnybrook trailer and am looking to rent a 3/4 ton truck to tow it. I live in the new York Metro area. Any ideas ?
I can't tell how long you want to rent, or for what purpose (short haul, out of state haul, etc.), but I think you may have a hard time finding something to meet your needs. Do you have your own brake controller, or does the rental unit need to have one? Do you have your own hitch with WD bars and sway control?
Again, depending on what you are trying to accomplish, you might be money and stress ahead to go to one or more camper dealers in your area and have them put you in touch with a delivery guy. These guys bring campers out from Indiana, etc. and return empty. They would be thrilled to get a paying load on the return leg or any portion thereof, I'd bet.
Finally, an ad on Craigslist might get you connected with someone with a truck sitting around doing nothing that wouldn't mind renting it out. You never know. Heavy equipment rental places sometimes place their own ads there, as well.
Good luck. - nevadanickExplorerUnited Rentals or a similar rental co will rent you a 3/4 ton pickup
- Passin_ThruExplorerUship.com Hire a truck & driver.

I would start with Ryder or Penske to negotiate a lease. May not be a 3/4 ton pickup, might be a one-ton van or a larger truck that they allow to tow.
Due to all the different types of trailers and towing setups out there, not to mention liability issues, I believe you will find that companies like Penske, Ryder, U-Haul will only authorize you to pull one of their trailers with one of their trucks.
Only exception is in the Class 8 tractors which they only rent only to commercial customers. - old_guyExplorerthere are towing companies around the USA that will do it for you. most RV dealers use them to bring in their stock that they sell. ask a dealer for a reference.
- tatestExplorer III don't know who you have in New York, but most places in the country I would start with Ryder or Penske to negotiate a lease. May not be a 3/4 ton pickup, might be a one-ton van or a larger truck that they allow to tow.
I know many of the major rental companies have capable trucks, mostly one-ton passenger vans, but they are not usually equipped for towing and are not rented on those terms. - wmosesExplorer

Ideas about what? You made two statements. :h - Road_PhantomExplorer IIAre you only towing your trailer for a one way trip ( ie, to Florida for the winter) or is it for local camping? If you just want to move it, there are a lot of commercial haulers out there. You can find them on line or call any local RV dealer for a contact. I think they charge around $1.50 a mile.
