I think the notion of a Class A or Class C motor home makes good sense for your situation.
Think about this, is that any worse than leaving your TV sit all the time? If you were to buy a truck and "stretch" it, is that worth the expense? Just toss it around. With a big family and your desire to have a big trailer obviously your options are limited. Everything is a compromise so be willing to make them, and find a creative solution.
