Towing with 1/2 Ton Suburban or Yukon
We are getting ready to buy a new tow vehicle. New to us anyway. We are looking at late 90s or early 2000 Suburban 1500 or Yukons. Everyone tells me this v8 5.7 engine is big enough to tow our 5200lbs...

If your camper has a dry weight of 5,200 it probably weighs closer to 6,500 when you figure all the optional equipment, water, propane, batteries, food, clothes, gear, etc.
The only way to be sure is to weigh it. If your hitch is only rated for 5,000 pounds I would upgrade the hitch.
Other than that, I think you should be fine towing that trailer with that vehicle.
