Towing with 1/2 Ton Suburban or Yukon
We are getting ready to buy a new tow vehicle. New to us anyway. We are looking at late 90s or early 2000 Suburban 1500 or Yukons. Everyone tells me this v8 5.7 engine is big enough to tow our 5200lbs...

been towing with suburbans for many years. Have had every kind of them. Most liked is the 1500 5.3 373 rear end. As for the old body style 92-99 the 350 engine is a work horse. 5500 no problem just leave it in 3rd gear when towing. NO OVERDRIVE!!!
