We are getting ready to buy a new tow vehicle. New to us anyway. We are looking at late 90s or early 2000 Suburban 1500 or Yukons. Everyone tells me this v8 5.7 engine is big enough to tow our 5200lbs...

I am presently towing with a 99 Gmc Burb, 5.7, 373 rear end. It's tow rating is 6500lbs by the book. I'm towing at 6K all packed up and reagy to go. It tows fine. If we bring others along with us, we are pushing the cargo capacity. If you could find a 2500 Burb, that would be the best of both worlds. DW loves this vehicle, so my next tow vehicle will be a 2500 burb
