Towing with 1/2 Ton Suburban or Yukon
We are getting ready to buy a new tow vehicle. New to us anyway. We are looking at late 90s or early 2000 Suburban 1500 or Yukons. Everyone tells me this v8 5.7 engine is big enough to tow our 5200lbs...

X2 on your TT weighing around 6500lbs ready to travel. that is about max for a 1/2ton small block. you will want at minimum of 3.73 gears, 4.10 would be best! I would watch for a 3/4 ton Burb with at least a 6.0L gas or an 8.1L if you can find one, or a V-10 Excursion.
