Remember that a boat is VERY aerodynamic vs. a travel trailer which is just a flat wall.
From a safety and weight standpoint you will be fine with a 10,000lb trailer. The only issue will be performance with the 5.4L engine.
Here we go again. Without knowing the actual weight of the trailer, or the available payload of the tow vehicle, the advice is to "go for it". That is one heavy pickup with the long bed, 4WD and all. With passengers, tools, and whatever in the truck, they could have remaining payload in the 1,000 pound range. Landing an estimated 2,000 pounds of pin weight from a 10,000 pound fifth wheel might flatten what is a pretty good tow vehicle. Point is, get some actual weights and ratings before "assuming" that "you will be fine". Maybe you will, maybe not. Head for the scales and come back with the numbers. Or, if you have the cash laying around for a new tow vehicle and you like to gamble, order any trailer you like.
