It's hard to pass up on a rig that is that cheap and you know the history on. I have to wonder why it's so cheap, although I'm in the fire service too and I don't know of anyone who would intentionally cheat a brother on a vehicle or any other purchase. I would think that the 7.4 would tow your trailer just OK, nothing at all like your current truck. If you run into overheat issues maybe an radiator and fan upgrade would help. Hard to go wrong for only $1500 on that rig.
