I just want to take a second to thank every single one of you! So much information. I can admit to be slightly overwhelmed, but incredibly grateful that you all are willing to share your knowledge!
That said, I am disappointed, but not surprised that the minivan is a no-go. I had read several days ago about strain on transmissions from inappropriate tow weights, and I don't want to buy a brand new anything to have to replace the transmission in a few years. That's why I joined here. Didn't want to make any jumps without hearing it all out.
I am very close to Orlando, so I will check out Mullinax. I also looked into the Tacoma as someone suggested, it would not seat us all, but it's something we are opening the discussion on. I know there were other suggestions, must go back through all the posts to be able to go into each avenue.
I certainly would not put any of my family or friends in danger over budget restrictions. I'd much rather postpone the trip until I could afford an "out of budget" tow vehicle rather than shoving into an unstable vehicle! so no worries about that. :)
