towing with a silverado 6 speed
Was wondering if any one tows in 4th gear with 3.73 gears and if so is gas mileage better or worse. This is with a gas engine.

That is where I run. I could use 5th gear part of the time, but it would also downshift to 4th quite often. Gas mileage is almost exactly the same and I don't have to feel/hear it shifting. The engine feels good cruising at 2,800 rpm. I am assuming you have a gasoline fueled engine. Big difference, as we will hear from those with diesels and eco boosts.
