Not to beat a dead horse, but if the car can't tow, it wouldn't come with a tow package and hitch. Doubt they could stand by and not honor any damage to it
According to the Subaru owner's manual, that is exactly what they will do.
SUBARU warranties do not apply to
vehicle damage or malfunction caused by
trailer towing.
Why would you not take them at their word?
