That would put the excursion over every towing related spec. Tow rating is 8700 pounds for the EL 2007-2014 EL. Tongue weight limit is 870 pounds. Rear axle rating will also be exceeded as well as GVWR, GCWR, tow rating.
I would not even tow that with my 3/4 ton Burb with only due to the 1000 pound receiver limit I have. Your softened up F250 is still far more capable than a brand new half ton SUV.
If you want a newer SUV that is capable of towing that TT, you have the 2005 Excursion ;) and up to 2006 3/4 ton Burb/Yukon XL.. That TT is beyond any 2007+ SUV capabilities. So is you want 3+ rows of seats in 2007+ vehicle, you into 2/4 amd 1-ton vans. GM offers the (derated) Duramax in theirs, or I would recommend a 6.0L/6-spd/3.42 axle 1-ton van. Ford had the 3V V10 that I recommend.
The truck manufacturer anti-say system is reactionary. If it ever activates, the driver and passengers have already stained their shorts. A quality WDH with integrated sway control offers far better control to prevent that situation to begin with.
