Towing with Dodge 6.4
Anyone have towing experience with towing with the Dodge with the 6.4 engine? I'd be towing an 8000 trailer,and was wondering how well they pull,up hills and such. Thank you

I'm happy with mine. 6.4/4.10 pulling a ~12k, almost 39' fifth wheel. I came from a 03 Ram Cummins 5 speed. On the steep hills with the load, you may see 2nd gear, but you will still be able to maintain decent speed. This might not even be an issue with 8k lbs.
I averaged 7 mpg over 2,100 miles from Ohio to Floriday and back. I average about 13 mpg daily driving. I have around 6500 miles on the truck now.
