I'm still hanging on to our 2010 5.4L/auto/3.73 F250. Tows our 8500~lb TT like a champ. We've been eyeballing the new gas powered F250s as our next truck.
I liked my 2010 quite a bit. It was a nice truck, but was going to need a few repairs. It started to develop a tick in the engine under load (towing), common for the triton 5.4l. All the cab mounts rotted out and the cab was starting to bottom out on the frame on rough roads. Read that around the mid 2000's Ford switched from rubber mounts to a kind of foam mount. This is a common problem and not cheap to repair. Was going to need other items like brakes, tires, and few other things. Had around 97000 miles on it, so decided to trade it in and get something new rather than deal with repairs. Have not bought myself a new vehicle since 1996, so figured I would indulge myself. Check those cab mounts!
I forgot about the cab mounts. I had them replaced last year. The suspension bumpers are also crumbling up front. Will replace those when the weather cools a little. The 5.4L is still running like new. It gets Mobil-1 5w-20 every 5k miles with a Motorcraft filter. I wonder if the 6.2L has the same cam phasers.
