Towing with silverado
I was wandering if anyone has or is towing a camper around 6800 lbs ( short trips less than 50 miles one way) with a 2013 silerado 5.3 liter engine with a 3.42 rear end and what your experience was?

I agree with the second part of your statement, however the first part, while it could be correct, is not in real life.
Except maybe under a specific set of circumstances, like the drive is all uphill or something similar.
Either way, that truck is fine for a 7klb TT.
