Toyo trailer tires!!

Just heard Toyo is making a 700x15" ribbed Load Range D (2020#). Comes in 15" or 16". Can't find anything on the Internet about it yet. Headed to Les Schwab when they open this morning to see if I can get more info.
  • Sorry folks. I jumped the gun!!!

The tires this guy was talking about is the old 700x15 LT tires. I should have found out first but I was pretty excited. I would have bought them for my TT but they are like 36" tall!!!

I did have Les Schwab order me the Maxxis 8008 8 ply. I guess Maxxis is still the best we can hope for.
  • A friend of mine has had 700/15 on his horse trailer for some time, and has been very happy with them.

A 15" load range D that only carries 2020# would be very low. I will be following this development

Agree with this, but I'm curious... For example Maxxis 15" in LR D carries 2540.
Just FYI...my Maxxis 205/75R15 LRD tires are rated at 2,150 lbs.

The 2020 figure seems low. 500# per tire would be significant. I guess we will have to wait and see. I think it would be great to have another "good" option on ST tires. Toyo is a respected maker.
  • I hope they do. I just bought a set of Toyo AT II's that were made in Japan. Warranted for 65K.

If they are made to the same quality as their truck tires this will be great news. I have used Toyo tires and they are excellent.
