Towing a 10k pound RV and a 5k pound RV is not much different ,assuming both are withing the limits of the tow vehicle. Aerodynamic drag is the problem except for mountains, then weight is a factor. Check out Ford's F-150 Ecoboost. It tows similarly to diesels and big block gassers due to the peak torque in 2500rpm range.
The 5.7L Tundra is strong. Be careful of payloads.
Also check out the 2011+ VW Touareg TDI and 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Diesel. They should handle that TT well while delivering good fuel economy towing and not. Payload will still be low. 2014 Ram 1500 will offer the same diesel as the Jeep.
