I guess I misunderstood the point of your post, my apologies. You are correct, nobody here has a clue WHY this happened, we just know what happened. I am not a fan of the Monday Morning Quarterback decision process that a lot of people like to partake in.

I know we sometimes joke about why things happen. it just seemed that everyone was jumping on the texting bandwagon without knowing the facts, hence the reason for my post. you just never know why things happen.Old-Biscuit wrote:

And yes, we have no idea why the boat was rear ended. my wife rear ended a small dump truck years ago. sure anyone driving by after the accident could`ve said she was on the phone or texting. the reason was she had a cold and reached down for a Kleenex!
There are any number of reasons for an accident and unless you were right there in the passenger seat you have no idea what was going on in the drivers seat!
I do not intend to come across as being mean because I am not. I am trying to make a point, though.
She knew when she got in the car that day that she had a cold so she should have had some Kleenex handy so that she could reach it without taking her attention off the road.
I was hungry so I took my eyes off the road to reach down and grab my burger. Its not my fault.
I was listening to the radio and didn't like the song so I looked down to change the station. Its not my fault.
My passenger said something funny so I looked at her and laughed. Its not my fault.
... whatever happened to personal accountability and taken responsibility for your mistakes???
