Temps are another issue altogether. Too hot indicates an issue, (bearing, caliper hang up etc). Taking no action on a heated wheel can cause fire...not a pleasant outcome...Dennis
nope, nope, nope. the max pressure on the sidewall is for the max COLD pressure, measured when the tire hasn't been run for several hours. Hot tire pressure can go WAY above that without an issue. It's only the cold inflation pressure you need to be concerned with.
Now, if you have a dragging brake, wheel bearings going, they may heat up the rim and cause some additional heating in the tire, but most of the temp increase is due to friction in the tire carcas as it flexes as it rotates.
