My tires are 80 psi cold. I have seen 95 psi after running 50 miles.
I was able to touch the tire without burning my fingers.
Next time stop and measure the tire temperature. If you can touch the tire without discomfort then everything should be OK.
The temperatures that most TPMS system report are no where near actual tire temperature. My TST seams to report about 10 degrees above ambient regardless what the tire pressure is.
But as said do not let air out of the tire.
