What was your loadcapacity of your Michelin 225/75R16 E-load tires ?
If you give that information , I can compare it wiht data I have from European Michelin.
Incidentially the inside tire temp can rise even up to 212degrF/100degrC, so I was informed by a valve importer here in Holland ( Europe).
And then mostly by the heat of brakes transported trough the rimms.
The tires are tested , so I read once ( in some topic by Capriracer and or Tireman9) to can stand an absolute overpressure of 2 to 3 times AT-pressure ( yours 80 psi and is not the maximum cold pressure of tire)
So if tire is constructed for E-load and put in the market for E-load it even can stand a pressure of about 160 to 240 psi before it blows up.
More to the borders it get when a D-load tire construction is put in the market as E-load , then it will blow at 2x65=130psi to 3x65= 195 psi.
But if pressure rises to much , never let out air, is also an advice of the tire-makers.
So here the TMPS , wich is meanth for extra savety , cources that you bleed of air when in fact you should probably even put more air in it.
And by this the use gets unsaver instead of saver, wich is probably not the goal of it.
