Tire pressure is on a sliding scale. Normal, just rough and low traction dirt roads need about 30-32 pounds in the tires. If we need more floatation on blow sand or powdery snow I'll go down to 22-24, with the 100% effort down to 18 pounds rear; and 20 pounds front. But that's with those wide-moes on the back. The real slick, bottomless muddn' requires the 22-24 range. Why did i settle on these approximates? Trial and error over a long period of time. YPMV.
