Our sentiments exactly. We were going to have a wad of family help celebrate our 50th ANNIV. at the Ahwahnee next November, but we were so irate with the name change on our Legacy location we bailed. What is up with these politically correct people?
Anyway, Buzz has nailed the spirit of winter TC-ing, and doing it while you're still young enough to face the big white one.
Speaking of that, I've put the snow blower on the tractor and am readying to face a big storm facing us.
Nothing to do with Politically correct. The Butt Heads at Delaware North, the old concessionare in the valley snuck in a Trademark for the Ahwahnee and Curry village ( it never should have been issued). When they lost the contract they tried to extort over 50 million dollars for the value of the names from the Park Service in exchange for turning over the trademarks. The Park Service told them to pound sand and changed the names to deny them one cent of our tax dollars while they fight them in court over the trademark. If the Park Service wins in court the names will change back
