I did RV transport for a few years. The brakes barely worked at the beginning of the trip, and I always hd to set my brake controller to Boost 2 or 3 (Prodigy).
By the end of the trip, the brakes were working well enough that I could dial back the controller to Boost 1 or the non boost setting.
