Trailer covers

I think one thing to consider is what your plans for your TT are.

If you are going to keep it 15 years than you probably should make every effort to keep it nice and shiny.

I believe the average trade in time for a RV is 6 years and like any other vehicle the trade in value drops like a stone in water. Even with the best of care older TTs look “dated” because of the style changes of the newer models.

Our TT was three years old when we bought it and judging from the wear and tear on the cover. it had been under cover much of the time. I am sure the like new condition brought the dealer a few extra sales dollars, I am equally sure the great condition did not add a nickel to the trade-in value.

I use the cover because it keeps the ice and snow off the roof. I do not use it in the summer.

I only use it over the winter, way too much of a PITA to put on between each trip. I wrap anything that sticks out with foam pipe insulation, awning ends, rain spouts etc wtc but I still have a couple holes in the sides (none in the tyvek roof), mind you this will be the 7th year for it so I guess I can't complain too much.

We have a cover, its kind of a pain to put on and off, but the worse part for us was when ever the wind blew it moved and rubbed on the camper no matter how tight or loose we attached it. It soon wore holes at all the rub points. Another thing wasp hornets and all types of bees love it, and they continually moved in.

What type of cover do you use that is completely waterproof? My Adco definitely is NOT 100% waterproof, it's the type that has the white Tyvek on the top.

I have an ADCO cover for my 30 ft 2014 Bullet TT.. I definitely recommend a cover.. summer and winter when not trailering to keep your finish and decals looking new! It will last 4-5 years for $250-- a small investment! ADCO has been in business 60 years.. Think they are the best! Get it on Amazon to save!

They work well as some have described BUT big hassle if not for long term, or windy conditions they have there rub points that you must cover to protect them from getting holes in them.

How does that price compare to outside storage? If close, then it's a no brainer.

While clean, dry, rodent free indoor storage would best contribute to the longevity of your trailer $150 a month is WAY too rich for my blood :E ... which is why I use a breathable cover instead. ;)
