The best thing you can do is get with an independent agent and let them do the shopping for you. Often times they can get you a pretty good deal with carriers that you never even thought of. They're there to work for you since they aren't tied to any particular carrier. Everyone's situation and geographic location is going to be different, which can affect rates wildly. So you're going to get a lot of:
Person A: Company X is great. They were the lowest price and had the best coverage.
Person B: Company X rates were twice as much as everyone else when I checked and that was with a $2000 deductible.
