The payload capacity of the truck is where you need to start for figuring what you can tow. You will run out of payload capacity long before you reach 7K-> 8K lbs. Hopefully, someone will link you to a trailer towing calculator in this thread. I don't have one saved. Just a WAG but I think you'll end up with below 5K lbs for the trailer weight and that is a loaded weight.
