Wow everyone, thank you for the replies! I expected one guy to say "get a bigger truck" and that's it, but all of your real-world examples are awesome!
Looks like I gotta stick under 6000 loaded, based on all of your experiences. Obviously the lighter the better, but that can definitely help me rule out a bunch of larger travel trailers.
