I've been putting mine on the outside of both wheels, but I see alot of folks put them on the inside (between each wheel). Honestly wondering if one is better than the other.

No, I don't think it makes any difference, it's just a matter of convenience and what kind of chock you are using.
I think, if you use the underside side of your camper for a storage area, having the chocks between the tires is a little better. No chance of anything hitting them if sliding something in or out from under the trailer. But, the chances of that happening are slim, but that's the only reason I can think of why someone would choose outside vs inside. It's a personal choice. No difference in functionality.
