Transfer case problems
I posted earlier about my 03 Silverado 2500HD whining. After finding the pump in pump in the transfer case was bad I thought I found it. The transfer case now has all new bearings, seals, fork inserts...

The rear case is a brand new OEM New Process. I drained the fluid last night and it is full of metal flake again. I am going to run it on a hoist and listen myself, but I got to beleive something is toast inside the transfer case.
I know Magna industries bought out New Venture, but is a Magna transfer case the same as OEM ? I found a brand new Magna transfer case for 1,300 with no core. They have good reviews. Has anyone used one before ? I am done dealing with this one and if it is indeed the transfer case I am putting a different one in it.I know it is the transfer case or the transmission, but I need to figure out which one before going any further. I have had five different shops including the dealer and all feel it is the transfer case, but all admit never hearing this noise before.
